On 7th June, SJ Beard and Paul Ingram will be presenting "How to Think About the End of the World… and Approaches to Mitigate the Risks" to the Open University Philosophy faculty.
Like all species, humanity has always existed under external threats to its future, but those arising from our own activities have become particularly clear since the advent of the nuclear age. Threats appear to be multiplying with each decade. How do we make sense of them, and make sense of our collective contribution and responses to them? And what can we do to engage those with the power to imagine new ways of being that mitigate or eradicate those risks?
