The panellists are:

  • Clarissa Rios Rojas - Centre for the Study of Existential Risk
  • Max Tegmark - Founder and Director of the Future of Humanity Institute
  • Ernesto Polcuch - Head of UNESCO, Peru
  • Phyllis Kalele - Academy of Science in South Africa

This report has been developed to help guide and enhance the policy engagement efforts of researchers at CSER and other global risk research institutions. This work is part of the project 'A Science of Global Risk', which is focused on safeguarding humanity’s long-term future by being rigorous and creative; open to diverse groups; and capable of producing concrete proposals for risk management that can be implemented within the existing policy landscape.

Please join us at this event on Monday 7 June, 16.00-17.00 (BST) to hear from a distinguished group of speakers and discuss how science can influence policy. One of the aims of the launching of the report is to map the different communities working on global risk around the world so do join us so we can get to know you.

You can register by email: h.williams@jbs.cam.ac.uk and receive the link to attend the event.
