All at CSER are saddened to hear of the passing of Stephen Hawking. We are hugely grateful for the support Stephen provided to establish CSER and get us off the ground between 2011 and 2015, and his continued service on our scientific advisory board. He will always be an inspiration forus, not just for his scientific work, but for his efforts to bring attention to the challenges of climate change, artificial intelligence, biodiversity loss, inequality in its many forms, and our responsibility to keep the planet in one piece for the sake of the generations to come. Hawking's many achievements remind us that every obstacle can be overcome with determination and perseverance.
